Barnwood Mini Ornaments - Tomball, Texas family photographer

The Christmas tree of my youth was full of handmade, homemade ornaments.  Many of these were made in after school brownies meetings, with a neighborhood girls and moms,  and some in school.  As a girl, there are many options to "craft".    It seems with my boys I don't have any homemade ornaments to commemorate each year or different events in their childhood.  Sadly,  as we hung my own family's ornaments,  I'd wonder if any of these ornaments would bring up memories in my child's mind as they become adults.  (can't even think about them being adults yet!)

Then T. H. I. S!!

As a photography mom, mom tog, etc., etc., I have a trillions of images and each day I fall in love with the newest ones I've just taken, especially of my own two boys.  Each year I make a photography book of our year with all our favorite images.   I'm always thinking of ways to use my favorite images to display in our home and a friend shared these Barnwood Mini ornaments, I was smitten.

It was the perfect marriage of my photography love, my children and a way for them to remember our time and then places we've spent together over the years as they decorate the Christmas tree each year.   Every one of these ornament has been the main image on our holiday Christmas cards over the years.

These are the truly the sweetest  little metal prints mounted on a thick piece of barn wood with twine for having on your Christmas tree. I set one on it's side so you can see the thickness of the wood.  There are a few sizes, and these are 2" by 3".

and that tree light bokeh - a favorite thing of mine!  Now on to finished to decorating the tree and waiting on our Elf Gov to make his appearance.
