THANK YOU Police, Fire, and Active Military for your service and dedication to keeping us safe
2018 is our 1styear offering these 9/11 THANK You sessions in The Woodlands, Texas organized by little ole me. It was a labor of love to reach out by phone, email and an online campaign to be sure to spread the word to offer these police, fire, and active military families the opportunity to have wonderful images of their men with their wives and their children. Personally, it is important to me to do these sessions as I was in New York City on 9/11 so I saw firsthand all the sacrifices the police and firemen make to keep us safe.
We are happy to have had 11 Woodlands area photographers providing images for 53 families to honor them and the sacrifices they make. The families we have met have been so appreciative and thankful. It’s been amazing to do this!
Sadly it rained here in The Woodlands, Texas on 9/11 so all my THANK YOU sessions had to be postponed, and I was so happy to be able to photograph a few families this week!
Just look at these beautiful families, and more to come!

The 9/11 THANK You sessions originated in Frisco, Texas by Courtney Blissett of Bliss Photography in 2014. She is a gifted senior photographer and the wife of a retired 21 year fireman. By 2016 she had recruited 3 more photographers, including now Woodlands resident Elizabeth Alexander of Eliz Alex Photography. In 2018 the Dallas area had 19 participating photographers all across the metroplex.
Happy shooting!

Little people call her Camera Girl. Elizabeth’s little people, two boys, call her Mommy. She calls on her Canon, enthusiasm for the outdoors, creativity as a former toy-maker, excited for discovery and addiction to Starbucks coffee to guide the littles and their families on photograph adventures. Elizabeth’s love of nature and volunteer work at a local land conservancy keep her connected to the land and always seeking new settings where she can capture the natural light, the beauty of the local faint, and the candid and magical moments of the families she guides.
