Boys, mine, a castle, Scottish heritage.
It’s easy to photograph a girl in a pretty dress in any setting and have it be beautiful and magical.
But my boys, it’s not as easy with boys.
So a group of photographer friends trekked a couple of hours from Allen, Texas to a castle. I HAD to think of something different for my boys to go with a castle setting and keep it interesting for them – swords! My boys’ grandmother is Scottish with a full brogue and all. On a last minute whim I decided to sewn a kilt and sash for them, borrowed a couple of swords from a good friend and off we went.
It was quite hot, like very hot, and the boys had a blast swimming, diving, sliding, sword fights, fireside s’mores. It was a lovely way to kick off the summer!
