n 2010, an obsession began with vintage furniture, mainly to be used as a photography prop.   Craig’s List in Houston became my daily friend to search, and search, and search to find that elusive reasonably priced piece of furniture that I would love.   Weeks passed, and I found this lovely red velvet replica French dining chairs. The woman was selling her dining chairs and everything inside as  was moving out of the country,  I believe she said to evade taxes by moving overseas.  So she was selling everything.

She made me buy 2 of them, she would not sell me just one.  She had a four more left and I sent two more established local photographer her way to purchase a red velvet chair from her.  They got together and were able to buy 1 each.   I loved them so much I agree to buy two.  I wonder if they still have them?

Later that year, we moved from The Woodlands, Texas to Allen, Texas and I brought them along. Here and there I did use them for sessions, mainly a senior girl here and there, but mostly they sat in the corner of my office looking pretty.    I had not realized I would tire of them a bit.   Eventually I sold both of them to my favorite DFW photography group.  I had hoped to collect many image of those Dallas ladies who have photographed this chair as so far only have 1 to share along with my old  images.

Here is my son on it in late 2010 at age 4 in Allen Texas at my absolute favorite little meadow, he is now almost 12.  This is one of my favorite of him from this era. I could capture the best sun flares with my Canon Rebel and little nifty fifty.

This was from 2010 The Woodlands, in what now is Creekside Park. I remember being so incredibly happy with these images at that time.  Now I see the blown highlights created with my Canon Rebal and little nifty fifty.

Ava Hill and her daughter in 2010 also in what is now Creekside Park, in The Woodlands, Texas.  See the TWO chairs!
